I was reading the China Daily newspaper that i get in my room, when i found a section dedicated to talk about everything that is being done in Beijing for the Olympic Games. One of the articles was talking about the installation of public toilets all around Beijing to cover the necessities of people anytime, anywhere. In fact, it seems they will also have an automatic telephone service that will explain the visitors (both in Chinese and English) where the closest public lavatories are. According to the article, they want to make public toilets available within 5-minute walk of any downtown location....
But...
That was not what surprised to me... In relation to this article, there were also comments of people who were asked on the street about this measure. And here, the answer of one guy that finds the idea very good....
I mean... of course.. what could be more humiliating than asking your girlfriend to help you to find a toilet? I would not dare to ask such things.......
